I was working on a track earlier, when i realized: I've been on a constant musical evolution, from humble sample based beginnings to the quasi studio before me, but I'm not sure I've actually gotten better. I've grown and edified myself in everything i found of musical interest and relevance, but i think i may have slid past myself. I have a horrible habit of recording a song, throwing it on CD, listening to it in my car, and then forgetting i ever made the damn thing. But when i find it, it's always alot better than i remember it, and half the time, better than whatever i had just made. So I'm trying to conjure up that FL3.1 spirit, cause something tells me, i wasn't that far off even then.
